10 Worst Episodes Of 7th Heaven, According To IMDb

7th Heaven began its eleven seasons back in 1996 on the WB and ended on the CW. Many fans found the show through re-runs over the years. Some bought all the DVD boxed sets, and everyone with Hulu can now stream it.

The drama has a huge amount of characters. Through the years, the Camden kids grow up and go through different relationships. Eric and Annie Camden also open their home to many friends and strangers in need. That’s part of being a pastor’s family, as portrayed on the show. Not all episodes are created equal, so here are the ten worst, ranked by IMDb.

My Kinda Guy-5.8

10 Worst Episodes Of 7th Heaven, According To IMDb

There are several things wrong with this episode from season two. While the early days of 7th Heaven have lots of golden memories, this plot has a few no-nos. First, Eric volunteers to host a French foreign exchange student without consulting Annie or anyone else. In a house that’s already so full, this is crazy.

Once the damage is done, Lucy and Mary are fawning over the student, Guy. Matt, on the other hand, is aggravated that his date only wants to hear about life in France from Guy. Lastly, Simon and Ruthie get into some big trouble for smoking Guy’s cigarettes.

Lost-5.8

This episode from the sixth season is both scary and weird. It’s weird because Lucy and Mary ask their parents to pick out boyfriends for them! It’s not impossible, but it’s not something you hear about every day.

The episode is scary because Robbie’s time with his girlfriend, Joy, leads him to find her family dog and begin the process of finding her abducted little brother, too.

Talk to Me-5.7

Stephen Collins 7th Heaven

In season four’s “Talk to Me,” things get too real. Eric Camden counsels a young woman who has been molested. It’s weird to think about this now, given the news of recent years. Mary confides in Lucy.

The rest of the Camdens help each other manage their routine lot of secrets.

Suspicion-5.7

7th Heaven suspicion

This season six episode is about equality and safety, and so much more. Robbie goes out of town to visit his mother, and Ruthie fills up the house with another guest, her friend Yasmine.

Yasmine has been bullied because she is Muslim, so the Camdens try to help the young woman and her family. This is painful to watch, especially when a private school board tries to deny Yasmine admission. Though the issues covered in the episode are not a one-off, they certainly aren’t brought to the fore all the time, either.

Smoking-5.7

7TH HEAVEN

In season seven, Lucy and Kevin are not yet married. Lucy attempts to make Kevin jealous by going out with Chandler’s brother, Sid. Sid is a tattooed chain-smoker who is played by the real-life brother of the actor who played Chandler. Cigarettes are found in Simon’s room.

Chandler’s father is going to die from lung cancer.

Regret to Inform-5.7

This season nine episode is one giant misunderstanding. Martin winds up talking all night with a young woman named Venus whose father is in the military, just like Martin’s.

Lucy often has a jealous tendency, and because of confusion on a few key details, she thinks that her husband, Kevin, is involved with Venus. Martin becomes the object of rumors at his school.

High and Dry-5.6

There are a lot of turning points in season eight. Simon and Cecilia are at a crossroads in their romance with Cecilia looking towards college. Ruthie’s special friend, Peter, gets into drinking.

Lucy and Kevin have a serious conversation on their first wedding anniversary about when to start a family together.

Two Weddings, an Engagement, and a Funeral-5.6

This episode from the eighth season is bittersweet. Love is in the air for a differently-abled couple that would like to get married.

Simultaneously, Annie’s half-sister is planning her own wedding, but the two sisters will soon say goodbye to their beloved father. Chandler works on his premarital counseling chops.

Angel-5.5

Tyler Hoechlin in 7th Heaven

The season eight streak continues, and this one is pretty sad. It’s bad enough that the Camdens had to go through losing their beloved grandmother (Annie’s mother) in the early days of the series.

But now, Annie’s father has died. On top of that, the associate pastor, Chandler, has lost his father and is dealing with his grief. The two had a complicated relationship.

Red Socks-4.4

The season nine episode “Red Socks” has a miserably low rating. The fact that the twins (Sam and David) have their birthday on Valentines’ Day is used as a storyline more than once on the show. This time, the writers turn it into a musical episode.

They do this again in the tenth season with “The Magic of Gershwin.” The musical episodes are a fun idea and quite unusual for the show. If you’re into that sort of thing, great. Apparently, not everyone on IMDb was.
