10 Strongest Power Rangers Megazords

10 Strongest Power Rangers Megazords

With the Power Rangers‘ introduction of Megazords in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, audiences have debated over which robotic behemoth is the strongest. The Zords are known for their towering height, unique designs, and special abilities that are specific to the theme of each Zord’s particular show. Their capabilities in battle are reliant on whether the show’s respective Power Ranger team is ninja-themed, dinosaur-themed, space-themed, or something else entirely.

Serving as one of the Power Rangers franchise’s oldest tropes, most Zords have the ability to fuse with Zords from other series, thus taking on even more powerful and impressive forms. Some Megazords favor the power of speed while others have more abstract powers and abilities such as the ability to manipulate time and space. While there are plenty of things to consider when ranking the strongest Megazords in Power Rangers, it is generally accepted that each season offers at least one memorable Megazord.

10 Dino Ultrazord (from MMPR)

10 Strongest Power Rangers Megazords

Dino Ultrazord debuted in the Power Rangers‘ first series, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and it set a high bar with its debut in terms of power and spectacle. Among some of its abilities are enhanced strength, durability, powerful orb-like projectiles, and is even strongly implied to be sentient, which makes it smarter than most Megazords. However, despite Dino Ultrazord’s impressive stats, one of its greatest weaknesses is its lack of mobility as it functions similarly to a tank. Some craftier foes have exploited this weakness by tricking it into crashing into certain structures.

9 Turbo Megazord (from Turbo)

Turbo Megazord (from Turbo)

The Turbo Megazord debuted in Power Rangers Turbo and was described as being the most powerful Zord at the time. In addition to many of the abilities of Dino Ultrazord, Turbo Megazord was famous for its speed, Turbo Megazord Saber, and its finishing technique, Turbo Megazord Spinout. This powerful move was not only noteworthy because of its destructive power, but it was also the first move in the entire series to get an official name, thus being the originator of the now-common practice.

Turbo’s glaring weakness, however, is its heavy reliance on each of its individual Zords (each labeled with its own number) working in total harmony. While this is seldom an issue, there have been instances of poor communication leading to fairly swift duels. Turbo’s greatest strength lies in its speed and proficiency with its blade, but if the Power Rangers aren’t working as a team, intergalactic threats can pick it apart very easily.

8 Storm Megazord (from Ninja Storm)

Storm Megazord (from Ninja Storm)

Megazord of the Wind Rangers in Power Rangers Ninja Storm, the Storm Megazord is one of the more interesting Megazords in terms of its design. Storm is a combination of a lion, hawk, and dolphin, and this unique combination of animals makes it as strong as a lion, swift as a hawk, and intelligent as a dolphin. Additionally, Storm can summon Power Spheres similar to Dino and makes excellent use of its primary weapon, the Serpent Sword. Storm’s greatest strength is its sheer number of special abilities on account of having so many different animal motifs. The problem, though, is that it can only use these techniques one at a time, often leaving Storm open to counterattacks.

7 Omegamax Megazord (from S.P.D.)

Omegamax Megazord (from S.P.D.)

Similar to Turbo Megazord, Omegamax Megazord is known for being more agile and fast than for its brute strength. However, as seen in Power Rangers S.P.D., often considered one of the best series in Power Rangers, Omegamax’s speed tends to be more than enough to handle most threats. Additionally, Omegamax makes expert usage of its Omega Spin-Out Attack, a technique that sees the Megazord accelerate toward a target before leaping into the air and launching a devastating spinning attack. Omegamax’s only weakness is its lack of power against stronger foes, and its relatively low defense.

6 Zeo Megazord (from Zeo)

Zeo Megazord (from Zeo)

Zeo has many forms, but its Zeo Warrior transformation is among one of the strongest Megazords in Power Rangers. Armed with armor reminiscent of samurai warriors and its famous Zeo Megazord Saber, Zeo Megazord often makes quick work of its foes by utilizing concentrated and measured slashes. When things get particularly troublesome for Zeo, it charges up its saber with lighting energy and unleashes a devastating attack capable of wiping out multiple foes at once. But while it’s not lacking in power by any means, it is a bit slow, making it rather easy for enemies to land blows.

5 Titano Charge Megazord (from Dino Super Charge)

Titano Charge Megazord (from Dino Super Charge)

Armed with the Titano Ax, the Titano Charge Megazord is one of the most impressive Megazords in Power Rangers because like Dino, it is a fusion between a Zord and a Titanosaurus. This not only makes Titano extremely strong, but it also affords it benefits like enhanced durability and maneuverability in combat. Similar to Zeo, Titano is very slow, but the key difference is that its Titano Ax is so strong that enemies seldom have opportunities to take advantage of openings. In a notable display of strength, it used its Final Colossal Crush technique to take out Greenzilla in a single blow.

4 Legendary Megazord (from Super Megaforce)

Legendary Megazord (from Super Megaforce)

Another unique design, the Legendary Megazord has a flare for the eccentric as it is a gigantic pirate-themed Megazord that dual wields two sabers. In addition to Legendary’s Legendary Sabers, it also boasts a pair of shoulder cannons and a massive chest cannon that it utilizes to vanquish particularly strong foes with impressive results. Furthermore, Legendary is also known for its blinding speed both on its feet and with its Legendary Sabers – effectively making him one of the coolest Megazords in Power Rangers. His only real weakness is that Legendary must be completely immobile to use his chest cannon, leaving him wide open for lethal attacks.

3 Samurai Megazord (from Power Rangers Samurai)

Samurai Megazord (from Power Rangers Samurai)

While some ridiculous monsters have fought the Power Rangers through the years, the Rangers’ innovation when combating these threats has always been impressive. The Samurai Megazord is easily one of the most iconic due to its amazing design and legendary katana-like saber. Atypical of a Megazord, Samurai has been seen fighting foes without its helmet – albeit briefly, and has even displayed signs of high intelligence. Its finishing technique, the Samurai Strike, is very similar to that of a precise strike that a highly skilled samurai would use. Its greatest weakness is its high susceptibility to damage – as was seen when a single explosion destroyed it after a close duel.

2 Predazord (from Wild Force)

Predazord (from Wild Force)

The Predazord is another unique Megazord in that it has an evil form in addition to its default configuration. Furthermore, It is operated by the Lunar Wolf Ranger, allowing it to stand out as one of the few Megazords not to need an entire team of Rangers to operate it. Predazord’s light and dark configurations grant it nearly twice as many abilities and techniques as its predecessors, and depending on which version is in combat, is nearly impossible to defeat. In another unique twist, when Predazord was defeated in battle by Master Org, it was revived afterward, raising questions as to whether it could be permanently destroyed.

1 Centaurus Phoenix (from Mystic Force)

Centaurus Phoenix (from Mystic Force)

Centaurus Phoenix Megazord is the most powerful Megazord because it is a fusion of multiple powerful Megazords seen throughout Power Rangers Mystic Force. In addition to wielding the powers of the Zords it’s fused with, its strength increases ten-fold, it earns a fire tail that helps prevent counter-attacks from sneaky enemies, and it wields a powerful fire staff that works both offensively and defensively. Centaurus Phoenix has many of its predecessors’ strengths with none of their perceived weaknesses, hence why it’s rightfully regarded by many as the strongest Megazord in Power Rangers.
