10 Rumored Deadpool & Wolverine Cameos Ranked From Least To Most Likely

While many characters are rumored to appear in Deadpool & Wolverine, some cameos are more likely than others. The Marvel Cinematic Universe will be the home of Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine for the first time once Marvel Studios’ only 2024 movie, Deadpool & Wolverine, debuts. The film is a major event in the Multiverse Saga, with Deadpool & Wolverine‘s first trailer having revealed some interesting details about the film’s multiversal plot.

Among the many reveals of the movie’s trailer, it has finally been confirmed that the TVA from Disney+’s Loki will play a role in recruiting Deadpool in the film. With the multiverse as a backdrop, Deadpool & Wolverine‘s cast should be getting many additions from past Marvel projects, such as the reported return of Jennifer Garner as Elektra from 2003’s Daredevil, the confirmed return of X-Men franchise Pyro actor Aaron Stanford, and many rumored cameos. With a long list of characters rumored for the film, not all are as likely to appear.

The Actress Would Be Brilliant Meta Casting

While no variants for the movie’s lead characters were outright shown in Deadpool & Wolverine‘s first trailer, some were teased. Among the possible characters that could appear in the film, a Deadpool variant not played by Reynolds might have appeared in Deadpool & Wolverine‘s trailer. The character in question is Marvel Comics’ Lady Deadpool. The moment from the trailer can be seen below, as shared by @MCUFilmNews on Twitter.

A quick shot from the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer shows Deadpool firing Uzis. The character’s gloves are different from the ones Reynolds had on in the rest of the trailer, and that, allied to the guns being connected to Lady Deadpool, could mean she will be in the film. Blake Lively has emerged as the main name to play Lady Deadpool, and while having Reynolds’ wife play the female variant of him would be on point for the Deadpool movies, there has been no indication that Lively is in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Walker Scobell As Kidpool

The Percy Jackson Actor Has Already Played A Version Of Ryan Reynolds Before

Walker Scobell recently exploded in popularity after giving life to the main character in Disney+’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. Scobell is rumored to play Kidpool in Deadpool & Wolverine. As his name suggests, the character is a younger variant of Reynolds’ Wade Wilson in the comics. After being asked if he would reunite with Reynolds in Deadpool & Wolverine, Scobell said, “Not that I know of… I’m not sure—I’m hoping to reunite someday, but I don’t know.”

Scobell’s comments are not great for his Deadpool & Wolverine chances, though the actor could be lying to preserve a surprise. Scobell playing Kidpool would make sense as the actor already gave life to a young version of Reynolds in Netflix’s The Adam Project. Interestingly, that movie was also directed by Deadpool & Wolverine‘s Shawn Levy.

The Actress Could Team Up With Jackman Again After Logan

Dafne Keen has already played a Marvel character who would be great to see again in Deadpool & Wolverine. While not in the MCU, the actress’ performance as Laura/X-23 came in what might be the best movie in Fox’s X-Men franchise — Logan. With Jackman coming back as Wolverine, presumably from another timeline other than Logan‘s, it would be interesting to see Laura meet him after her Wolverine died.

While Keen is rumored to go from Logan to the MCU with Deadpool & Wolverine, that would go against what Reynolds and Jackman have talked about. When announcing that Jackman would be returning as Wolverine, the duo revealed that the upcoming MCU film would not be messing with Logan. Based on that, bringing in Logan‘s X-23 might be off-limits. Keen could always play a variant of the character from another universe though.

While Ben Affleck is more well-known in the superhero world for playing Batman in the DC Extended Universe, the actor first gave life to a major Marvel character. Affleck was the star of 2003’s Daredevil. With the new DC Universe set to recast Batman for the announced The Brave and the Bold movie, Affleck’s schedule for superhero movies is free, though the mixed reception to 2003’s Daredevil and the actor’s bad experiences at DC might make that hard.

Still, there is a major factor playing in favor of the actor making a cameo as his version of Daredevil in Deadpool & Wolverine. Jennifer Garner will reportedly return as Elektra in the MCU movie. The two starred in 2003’s Daredevil opposite each other. As Affleck has a good relationship with Garner even though they got divorced, it would be possible that her return in Deadpool & Wolverine is tied to Affleck’s Daredevil also coming back.

While Jackman is coming back as Logan for Deadpool & Wolverine, the actor is too old to embark on another 10-year journey as Wolverine, leaving room for another actor to tackle the mutant when the MCU reboots the X-Men.

Deadpool & Wolverine‘s trailer teased the Wolverine “Patch” variant. The character could be seen from behind, seemingly sitting at a poker table in a casino, which could be set in Madripoor, the Marvel Comics location where Wolverine uses his Patch disguise. Wolverine’s silhouette does not resemble that of Jackman in the scene, which has led to speculation that Radcliffe is playing the Patch variant. After Marvel cast John Krasinski as Reed Richards in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as a nod to fans, Radcliffe as Wolverine is very much possible.

Speaking to CinemaBlend last year about a return as Jean Grey, Janssen played coy. If the actress is returning as Jean Grey in Deadpool & Wolverine, her answer did a good job of hiding it. After being the faces of the X-Men franchise for over twenty years, it would be special to have Jackman and Stewart end their Marvel journeys together, which 2017’s Logan was initially meant to do.

Fox’s Wolverine and Charles Xavier actors could also return for Avengers: Secret Wars if the duo decide to stick around the MCU longer. Recently, Stewart commented on his Deadpool & Wolverine return rumors. The actor’s answer was surprisingly positive, saying, “It… it has come up. There’s been a process.” As both Charles Xavier and Wolverine died in Logan, it remains to be seen how Marvel will bring back Jackman’s character and possibly Stewart’s in Deadpool & Wolverine.
