10 Ms. Marvel Teamups We Can’t Wait To See In The MCU

10 Ms. Marvel Teamups We Can’t Wait To See In The MCU

Warning: The list contains major spoilers for Ms. Marvel.

Though Ms. Marvel has concluded its final episode, the show’s star, Iman Vellani, is already reacting to rumors about a potential Young Avengers movie, which honestly could be the perfect place for Kamala to join a superhero team. Of course, given Kamala’s expertise and love for the Avengers, she is probably dreaming about superhero team-ups, especially with her idol, Carol Danvers.

This team-up may not take long, with Kamala already confirmed to be making her second appearance in the upcoming 2023 film, The Marvels, and the mid-scene settled that. With the newest Avenger already making her rounds among the MCU superheroes, Kamala could join forces with characters like Kate Bishop and Ant-Man.

Kate Bishop

Hailee Steinfeld made her MCU debut as Kate Bishop in late 2021, paired up with Jeremy Renner in the Disney+ series Hawkeye. Bishop trains under the more experienced Avenger until she is eventually ready to take on the mantle of Hawkeye from Barton.

Kate Bishop and Kamala Khan seem destined to meet up in a potential future Young Avengers lineup. When this inevitably occurs, fans can imagine that their similar personalities and shared enthusiasm for superheroes will undoubtedly result in a lifelong friendship filled with plenty of team-ups.

Ant-Man

Scott Lang revealing his identity in Ant-Man

As one of the participants of the Time Heist, Ant-Man has become one of the most prominent Avengers in the MCU. Paul Rudd is expected to return as Scott Lang in the near future, with the third film in his solo series, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, slated for a release in February 2023.

Ant-Man is referenced on numerous occasions throughout the Ms. Marvel series, wherein he is revealed as the source of the public’s knowledge about the events of Endgame. As one of Kamala Khan’s idols and the primary source of her intimate knowledge of the Avengers, it would be a disservice for the MCU to neglect to have these two superheroes meet at some point in the future.

Photon

Monica Rambeau powering up in WandaVision.

Teyonah Parris joined the MCU as Monica Rambeau in the Disney+ limited series WandaVision. After traveling through Wanda’s hex over Westview, Monica inherited powers over the light spectrum, becoming the superhero known as Photon – named after her mother’s Air Force call sign.

Photon and Ms. Marvel are currently on a collision course, with both characters confirmed to be making their next appearance next July in The Marvels. While very little is yet known about their future team-up under the leadership of Captain Marvel, fans are already excited to see how these two powerful new superheroes will get along after crossing paths.

The Guardians Of The Galaxy

Where did the Guardians of the Galaxy go after leaving Thor in Love and Thunder?

The Guardians of the Galaxy finally united with the rest of the Avengers in Infinity War and Endgame, forging an unbreakable connection between the two superhero teams. The Guardians were last seen on an adventure with Thor in Love and Thunder, setting up their appearance in the long-awaited Guardians of the Galaxy, Volume 3, set to release in May 2023.

Now that the Guardians have officially crossed paths with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, fans can’t get enough of the “strange magic” of seeing their favorite space-faring heroes interact with different Avengers. Kamala Khan herself would fit surprisingly well among Peter Quill’s ragtag team of misfits, indicating that a crossover between the two franchises may not be as impossible as some may have guessed.

Mister Fantastic

John Krasinski as Mr Fantastic in Doctor Strange 2 in the Multiverse of Madness

Reed Richards made a surprise cameo as a member of the Earth-838 Illuminati in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, where he was portrayed by longtime fan casting favorite, John Krasinski. Though the leader of the Fantastic Four met a grisly demise at the hands of the Scarlet Witch, the Earth-616 variant has yet to be seen, leaving fans to wonder who might play the iconic character whenever he makes his next appearance in the MCU.

Mister Fantastic and Kamala Khan have an interesting connection in the comics in that they share a quite similar power set. While the MCU version of Kamala’s powers have been slightly altered for her live-action debut, the finale of Ms. Marvel saw her step up to the next stage of her abilities, inching closer to comic accuracy.

Thor

Chris Hemsworth in Thor Love and Thunder

Thor Odinson recently wrapped up his biggest adventure yet in Thor: Love and Thunder, a film that ended with massive implications for the future of both the god of thunder and the MCU as a whole. Nevertheless, the credits promise that Thor will return, which gives fans hope that the character will continue to appear throughout the franchise.

As an Avengers’ superfan, Kamala is no doubt quite familiar with Thor, a member of the team’s original lineup. Now that Thor is ready to take on a mentor role in the MCU, it would be intriguing to see what advice he could offer the burgeoning superhero that will guide her on her way to becoming an Avenger herself.

Captain America

Sam Wilson as the new Captain America in Falcon And The Winter Soldier

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier followed Sam Wilson on his journey to fully accepting the mantle of Captain America, claiming the title for himself after a lengthy battle with John Walker for the iconic shield. Now, as a prospective leader of the Avengers moving forward, Sam has a special place in the future of the MCU.

As the new Captain America, Sam Wilson will no doubt have an active role in the recruiting of new heroes to the Avengers Initiative, including Ms. Marvel herself. While it is unclear whether or not Kamala will feature in the main lineup of the Avengers or a Young Avengers spinoff group, fans can be assured that she will cross paths with Wilson at some point in the near future.

The Wasp

The Wasp looking serious in Ant-Man and the Wasp

Evangeline Lilly’s Hope van Dyne has finally fully adopted her superhero moniker of the Wasp, joining the Avengers for the final battle against Thanos in Endgame. However, the character has yet to make an appearance in Phase 4, building up fan anticipation for the Wasp’s confirmed return early next year.

Like Kamala Khan, Hope van Dyne is only just beginning her career as a superhero and still has plenty of connections to forge among the other heroes of the MCU. The parallels between the two new superheroes leave fans wanting a meet-up between the Wasp and Ms. Marvel as soon as possible, with some hoping that Kamala could somehow make a surprise cameo in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

Spider-Man

Spider-Man No Way Home Finale Tom Holland

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man has entered a new phase of his arc in the MCU following the groundbreaking events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. With the world’s memory of Peter Parker completely expunged, the teenage superhero’s future is a blank slate, building anticipation for his as-yet-unannounced next appearance in the franchise. That said, if there is a Spider-Man 4, it would be the perfect movie for Kamala to show up next in the MCU.

Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel prove to be remarkably similar heroes in their MCU adaptations. Both teenage superheroes have excitedly embraced their new superpowered lives that will lead them to take on starring roles in the franchise’s future. Moreover, the relationship between Kamala and Miles Morales’s Spider-Man in the comics is a favorite among fans, who are dying to see a translation of a similar friendship between Peter and Ms. Marvel in the MCU.

Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel cares about one MCU hero more than anyone.

Brie Larson is poised to take on a leadership role as Carol Danvers in the MCU’s future, currently standing as one of the most powerful superheroes in the Avengers lineup. With hints that Captain Marvel has been engaged in major events throughout the galaxy in the years since Endgame, fans couldn’t be more excited for her return in next year’s The Marvels.

The ending of Ms. Marvel‘s final episode seems to indicate the context of Kamala and Carol’s inevitable first meeting, as it appears as though they have swapped places thanks to Kamala’s mysterious bangle. When they unite in The Marvels, fans can’t wait to see the ensuing excitement as Kamala finally comes face-to-face with her greatest hero.
