10 Most Stylish Stardew Valley 1.6 New Decorations For Your Home

10 Most Stylish Stardew Valley 1.6 New Decorations For Your Home

Stardew Valley‘s massive patch 1.6 brought an incredible number of changes to the popular farming and life simulator, including several catalogs full of new furniture to decorate the farmer’s homestead with. While these furniture items are decoration and don’t provide any unique boosts to character stats, they do help make the game a much more immersive and personalized experience. The patch also added more rooms to decorate, so anyone who has already created a curated space won’t have to undo their work.

Similar to the traditional Furniture Catalogue, patch 1.6 introduced several new themed catalogues that can be purchased from various merchants in the game. One of these, the Trash Catalogue, can simply be found by searching through trash cans and doesn’t cost any additional price. Anyone looking for stylish decorations would probably prefer staying away from garbage-themed items, but they could benefit more from the Wizard Catalogue, Junimo Catalogue, Retro Catalogue, and even the Joja Furniture Catalogue.

Starship Painting Is A Beautiful Look At The Galaxy

From The Retro Catalogue

There are many new pieces of artwork in the various themed catalogues, including this sci-fi-inspired Starship painting in the Retro Catalogue. The painting could work in a variety of situations, including being paired with other items from the Retro set, specifically the UFO and Binary paintings. Alternatively, the Starship painting could work in a child’s room in Stardew Valley or fit with anyone who roleplays a farmer with an interest in outer space.

Wherever the painting is used, the decoration of a spaceship flying through colorful stars is a beautiful and eye-catching piece of art. The various colors used in the painting make it easy to match with any color palette for decorating or provide a pop of color where needed. It is also a very large piece of art, making it even more impressive and stylish.

Junimo Huts Give A Cozy Vibe As Indoor Decoration

From The Junimo Catalogue

Players get a real, working Junimo Hut from the Wizard in Stardew Valley, which is helpful to get Junimo’s to assist with a lot of the farming chores. Now, in the new furniture set from the Junimo Catalogue, there are three sizes of Junimo Huts that players can put inside their homes. These Junimo Huts are for decoration but provide a charming aesthetic to any stylish and cozy cottagecore-themed farmhouse.

The entire Junimo Catalogue provides a very natural selection of items with a lot of greenery and plants. Using the Junimo Huts can add to the cozy feeling of a farmhouse, giving more thought to the love of the earth and plants that the farmer likely has. Unless, of course, they are tired of being surrounded by plants outside.

Retro Tea Table Offers Whimsical Design Elements

From The Retro Catalogue

Another stylish item from the Retro Catalogue in Stardew Valley‘s patch 1.6 is the Retro Tea Table. This groovy table doesn’t need to be matched with the rest of the 70s-era furniture, as it is primarily just a nice wooden table with two orange glasses of presumably tea on top of it. The key feature of the table is the stylized wavy pattern on the wooden top, giving a fluid movement to the wood in a fun design that offers a bit of whimsy.

The Retro Catalogue can be purchased from the Traveling Merchant’s cart for 110,000 gold, but is a rare spawn in their assortment of goods. Once the catalogue is purchased, the Retro Tea Table is free to get through the catalogue. This table isn’t trying to be more than it needs to be, and there is beauty in its simplicity.

The J Light Could Be Perfect For The Right Demographic

From The Joja Furniture Catalogue

The Joja Furniture Catalogue offers many items that are very pretty greyish blue, which many could enjoy decorating with, with most of the pieces prominently marked with the JojaMart J logo. Whether or not someone is a fan of advertising for JojaMart or having a cash register in their home, some pieces, such as the J Light, could be perfect additions for someone with a farm or name that begins with J.

This J Light is a wall ornament decoration that lights up and looks really cool, particularly at night. While many items in this catalogue would not be considered “stylish” by many, it is worth taking a look at some of the offerings. The Joja Furniture Catalogue can be purchased at JojaMart for 25,000 gold, or if that is no longer an option, it will also appear in the Traveling Cart’s rotating inventory for 30,000 gold.

Junimo Flower Is A Stylish Addition For Any Decor

From The Junimo Catalogue

The Junimo Flower is another new addition to Stardew Valley and is found in patch 1.6’s Junimo Catalogue. Besides being beautiful when combined with the rest of the Junimo set of decorations, the Junimo Flower is among one of the most stylish for its versatility. The plant is a large and vibrant decoration that adds life and color to any home but will work with nearly any home’s theme.

With the added benefit of being an imaginative world and therefore not needing to have access to sunlight or be watered, the Junimo Flower makes a good addition to any room. Being that it is from the Junimo Catalogue, it is also free once the catalogue has been purchased. This means that players can use as many as they want to decorate every room of their home if they would like.

Decorative Wizard Door Is An Opportunity For Imagination

From The Wizard Catalogue

It is a little odd and unfortunate that the Decorative Wizard Door cannot function as an actual door or be used to replace doors in a home, yet this stylish furniture item still deserves mention. Rather than being able to open to lead into another room, as one might expect, the door is actually categorized as a wall hanging.

For the ultra-stylish who strive to be trendsetters, the wall-hanging door could be an opportunity. Perhaps the newest fad in design will be to create the opposite of the hidden bookcase door trend but instead, hang a door that does not actually work as a door. Or, it could simply be used in the game as a cool swirling decoration that players can roleplay is always locked but leads to a hidden closet.

Junimo Fireplace Provides That Hygge Feeling

From The Junimo Catalogue

Having a fireplace in the homestead of Stardew Valley is nothing new, but it is hard to beat the design of the Junimo Fireplace that is available in the Junimo Catalogue. As with other items in the catalogue, once the initial price of the catalogue has been paid, players can order as many of the Junimo-themed items as they want at no additional cost.

The stone framework and curved shape offer an extra feeling of warmth simply through the flowing movement in the patterns and the warm natural materials of the item. Whether a fire is lit or not, the fireplace is as much a piece of art as it is a functional object that could theoretically provide heat. Although one does wonder where the chimney is, it may be best not to think about what would happen to the smoke from a lit fire.

Several Colors Of Sleeping Junimos To Choose From

From The Junimo Catalogue

Junimos are the cutest little creatures to have come from the world of Stardew Valley, and many people love to collect plush toys or other real-life objects based on Junimos in their real-world homes, so it makes sense that this should also be an option in the game. In the Junimo Catalogue, there are seven colors of “Sleeping Junimo” to choose from, and players can order as many as they want from the Catalogue to fill their homes if they desire.

This adorable item is a furniture item, not a real Junimo, so it is best to think of it as a plush doll that is being ordered that the farmer can place in the home. Although, when combined with the Junimo Hut and other items from the catalogue, they can be used to create imagined worlds of activity with pretend Junimo roommates or pets.

The Retro Fireplace Offers Traditional Style

From The Retro Catalogue

Another fireplace option comes from the Retro Catalogue. The Retro Fireplace is drastically different from the Junimo Fireplace, being a solid cube shape and made from red brick. This very traditional fireplace offers a comforting nostalgia and is an instant style upgrade to any farmhouse look. On top of the mantle of the Retro Fireplace there are some included decorations that are permanently affixed there, which include a charming plant to offer a little greenery and a model ship.

In thinking about decorating a farmhouse, a fireplace is an important piece. The rugged nature of a farm, particularly in the cold winter months, makes the warmth of a charming fireplace as useful as it is stylish. This Retro Fireplace’s red brick might not work with all decor, but in the right setting, it would be a trendy addition.

Book Lovers Will Enjoy The Wizard Bookcases And Books

From The Wizard Catalogue

There are few things that can upgrade the sophistication of a home as quickly or as sufficiently as a large display of books. Bookcases and bookshelves have always been around in Stardew Valley, and are shown in many places around town. Now, with the Wizard Catalogue, there are 24 additional book-related furniture items. Whether someone wants a giant bookcase filled with an array of titles or a small stack of one or two books to put on a table, the Wizard theme offers it all.

The Wizard Bookcase is actually one of four Wizard Bookcases, including the Large, Short, and Small versions of it as well. In addition, there is the Wizard Study, which has a desk attached to a bookcase and many more items. Even the Wizard Bed appears to possibly have a row of books along the bottom of its footboard, although it is hard to tell for certain. These items can instantly make any sophisticated farmstead into the most stylish in Stardew Valley.
