10 Nemesis Slaughtered His Way Out of Prison

Even when it seemed like Nemesis’ first rival, Chief Inspector Blake Morrow, had things under control, the villain proved otherwise. After Nemesis was caught and transferred to a Washington, DC correctional facility, Anderson orchestrated an escape after making it inside the prison. As soon as Nemesis is released from his bindings, he takes on a squad of at least seven armed prison guards, snapping their necks and beating them with their own riot batons. Even the penitentiary’s most hardened criminals cringe seeing Nemesis stab the guards through their chests and eyes with their batons.
9 Nemesis Buried His Archenemy With His Parents’ Corpses

Everything Matthew Anderson does in Nemesis: Reloaded is ultimately for one reason: To kill the man who framed Nemesis’ parents for the deaths of nine hitchhikers. Nemesis loves sewing chaos wherever he goes and he kicks off his challenge to kill Chief Inspector Blake Morrow by kidnapping the President of the United States. While Air Force One is in the air, Anderson breaks in by shooting the aircraft’s pilots in their heads. Nemesis assumes control of the plane and starts wreaking havoc on Washington, colliding the plane’s wings with buildings and trampling dozens of innocent bystanders. Nemesis ends his opening act by crashing Air Force One into a petrol truck, engulfing Washington in an explosive fireball.
7 Nemesis Developed a Unique Sound Signal to Torture Earth’s Last Heroes

Things were looking grim in Big Game when the Fraternity of Super Criminals declared war on the superheroes of the world. After the deaths of several heroes, the President of the United States asked everyone who’d ever been a hero to rally. Unfortunately, Nemesis was prepared for the crew of heroes and sent out an ultra-sonic signal that attacked each hero individually. But that torture was just the beginning as the Fraternity began massacring the heroes. Sam from Night Club was burned alive by being exposed to the Sun while Wesley Gibson atomized the rest of the noble individuals.
6 Nemesis Forced LA’s Gang Leaders to Kill Each Other
Nemesis: Reloaded #1 by Mark Millar and Jorge Jiménez
Before Nemesis began his mission to take down Los Angeles’ authorities, he had to assume control of its criminal underworld. Anderson kidnapped every gang leader in LA and forced them to kill one another in an empty swimming pool. The gang leaders were blindfolded and given weapons, leading to a chaotic, bloody free-for-all. Witnessing the slaughter was the gang leaders’ seconds-in-command, whom Nemesis recruited into his campaign of terror. Eventually, one gang leader named Carlos stood victorious, but his reward for winning was being shot in the head by Nemesis.
5 Nemesis Killed an Untold Number of People in Tokyo

Before Nemesis even committed his most vile acts, he’d already made the lives of Tokyo’s population miserable. Nemesis opens up with Anderson torturing his latest victim, an inspector in Tokyo, and boasts about the numerous crimes he’d committed such as the poisoning of the Ogouchi Reservoir and a gas attack on the Tokyo Dome. But that’s nothing compared to his final act for the night: Nemesis blows up a hotel with a train line behind it, causing a train to derail and kill its passengers. It’s unknown how many people Nemesis killed in Tokyo, but it’s undoubtedly somewhere in the thousands.
4 Nemesis Blackmailed a Pilot to Kill the National Guard

As Nemesis’ war on Los Angeles plunged the city into bedlam, the National Guard was called in to bring order back to the city. However, Anderson was prepared for the armed forces. In the weeks leading up to his attack, Anderson used a 17-year-old to seduce a pilot and blackmailed her into committing increasingly awful and illegal things. To protect her secrets from getting out, the pilot agreed to become Nemesis’ suicide bomber and crashed a commercial airliner into the National Guard, allowing Nemesis’ crime spree to continue unabated.
3 Nemesis Killed Thousands at the Pentagon

When Nemesis picks a target to kill, he doesn’t just take them down, he destroys their entire world. Chief Inspector Morrow and several high-profile government officials gathered at the Pentagon to discuss the Nemesis situation when Morrow comes to the chilling realization that Anderson is going to attack the Pentagon. Almost immediately, everyone save for a handful of people begins succumbing to a nerve gas Nemesis pumped into the Pentagon, killing twenty thousand people. To make matters worse, Nemesis stole the Pentagon’s most valuable secrets and posted them online just for the fun of it.
2 Nemesis Massacred the Ambassadors with Their Own Powers

Nemesis was the Fraternity of Super Criminals’ greatest asset when they decided to hunt down and kill every single superhero. The Ambassadors, a union of powerful representatives from several nations were one of the first on the Fraternity’s hit list. Nemesis kidnapped Pakistan and lured the rest of the team into a trap. Working with the Fraternity, Anderson stole their powers (which were dispatched by a central command) and brutally slaughtered them one by one. From chopping them in half to freezing them to death, Nemesis did not hold back when taking down the most powerful team on the planet.
1 Nemesis Forced A Brother and Sister to Have Children

By far, the worst and most skin-crawling thing Millar’s supervillain did involved Inspector Morrow’s teenage son and daughter. After escaping from prison, Nemesis impregnated Morrow’s daughter by fertilizing her eggs with sperm harvested from her brother. Neither teenager was harmed physically, but Morrow was warned that any attempt to terminate the pregnancy would cause Morrow’s daughter’s womb to collapse, making her unable to ever bear any future children. While not bloody, this horrid act remains the most infamous crime Nemesis ever committed with nothing else coming close to matching its utter depravity.
Mark Millar’s devious villain has done a lot of depraved things, but these 10 moments stand out as the most brutal acts ever committed by Nemesis.
