10 MCU Heroes We Haven’t Seen At Their Most Powerful Yet

There are plenty of heroes in the MCU who could become more powerful than they currently are. With the culmination of the Infinity Saga, existing heroes have been moving into brand-new chapters, legacies have been passed on, and new heroes have risen to protect the greater MCU. However, the full extent of power for many of these heroes has yet to be reached.

At present, the MCU is in the middle of the Multiverse Saga with Phase 5, an overarching narrative that will reportedly culminate with both Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. As such, there are plenty of movies and shows where the MCU’s heroes can continue to grow in their powers and abilities in the meantime. Here are 10 MCU heroes who haven’t yet been seen at their most powerful.

10 The Incredible Hulk

A founding member of the original Avengers, it’s no secret that Bruce Banner has the potential to become even more powerful as the Incredible Hulk. In the aftermath of Avengers: Infinity Wars, Banner successfully found the means to merge both himself and the Hulk as one being commonly known as “Smart Hulk”. However, it does seem as though Hulk has since become limited compared to the power he’s displayed in the past.

A basic rule for the Hulk’s power is that he gets stronger the angrier he gets, and Banner’s calmer personality has certainly tempered the Jade Giant in recent years. That said, the MCU has been teasing a potential World War Hulk-inspired storyline with a return to the planet Sakaar. This would likely require a return to form with the Hulk’s more popular (and more powerful) rage monster status in the MCU.

9 Ironheart

Having reverse-engineered her own suit inspired by Iron Man, Riri Williams’ Ironheart can clearly take her designs ever further when her Disney+ show releases. Likewise, the impressive suit of armor she created using vibranium for Wakanda’s battle with Talokan was kept by Shuri in the aftermath of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. As such, it stands to reason that the Ironheart show will feature a brand-new suit being forged by the new young MCU hero.

8 Shang-Chi

In the final act of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, the titular hero inherited the powerful and mysterious Ten Rings from his father Wenwu. Although Shang-Chi has already displayed a strong ability to wield the relics, there’s clearly more to be learned after the movie’s post-credits scene teased that the Rings were sending some sort of signal, likely their point of origin before they were discovered on Earth. As such, it’s quite possible that learning more about the Ten Rings could lead to Shang-Chi gaining greater power and skill using them.

7 Kate Bishop’s Hawkeye

Having proven her capabilities with a bow and arrow alongside Clint Barton in Marvel’s Hawkeye, Kate Bishop has been perfectly set up to become her own hero in the MCU’s future. This will likely include gaining trick arrows of her own and learning brand-new skills from her new mentor which she could then show off in future projects as the MCU’s new Hawkeye. It must certainly help to have a founding Avenger on call to guide Kate into the next stage of her superhero career.

6 Sam Wilson’s Captain America

Falcon and the Winter Soldier was the perfect debut for the next Captain America. Deciding once and for all to wield the shield given to him by Steve Rogers, Sam Wilson became the MCU’s new Star-Spangled Man in the final episode with the defeat of the extremist group known as the Flag-Smashers. However, the Disney+ show was just a teaser.

The upcoming Captain America: Brave New World movie will undoubtedly show Wilson’s Captain America in full, hopefully featuring brand-new ways in which the shield can be wielded in conjunction with Wilson’s impressive wingsuit. There’s also the potential that Sam could gain superpowers of his own either from the Super Soldier Serum or some other source entirely, though that’s just conjecture.

5 Doctor Strange

The MCU has teased that Doctor Strange will become more powerful in the future, though likely not without a cost. As seen at the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Doctor Strange gained his third eye not unlike the Sinister Strange variant who brought about the end of his reality with a multiversal incursion. To that end, it follows that the primary Earth-616 Strange and his use of the Darkhold is what has triggered his own third eye.

While Strange’s third eye will likely grant him new power and abilities, it follows that said power could be quite corruptive in the near future. Furthermore, Doctor Strange finally becoming Sorcerer Supreme and replacing Wong isn’t out of the question either. It does seem like a natural evolution with rumors of a third Doctor Strange movie in development ahead of the next two Avengers films.

4 America Chavez

At the end of Multiverse of Madness, America Chavez was also featured having joined the Masters of the Mystic Arts. Seen training to use magic at Kamar-Taj, it seems America will have become a young sorcerer in future MCU projects in addition to her ability to freely travel the multiverse. Likewise, her new training will likely help America control her portal powers as well.

3 Adam Warlock

Created to destroy the Guardians of the Galaxy, Adam Warlock is incredibly strong and powerful from the very start of his first MCU appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. However, Adam was pulled from his birthing pod by the High Evolutionary too early, resulting in Warlock essentially being half-baked with minimal control over his power yet an abundance of immaturity. As such, time will likely allow Adam to not only mature to also learn restraint. However, there’s also the potential that his darker half Magus could emerge as well, an evil counterpart will all the same levels of power.

2 Ms. Marvel

Although she does gain a better handle on her new powers and superhero life in the aftermath of the Ms. Marvel show, young Kamala Khan still has a lot to learn. Likewise, it follows that there will be more about her powers for her to access and develop as time goes on. Keeping that in mind, there’s no better time for Kamala to become even more powerful than in The Marvels where she’ll be teaming up with Monica Rambeau’s Photon and Captain Marvel herself after all their powers become entangled in the upcoming movie.

1 Moon Knight

Although Jake Lockley was present in Moon Knight as the titular hero’s third personality, Marc Spector and Steven Grant were largely unaware of his existence by the series’ end, nor that he was still working for the Egyptian moon god Khonshu. As such, it stands to reason that Moon Knight will become even more powerful when and if Jake is fully discovered, albeit with darker motives and intentions Marc and Steven will have to contend with. With any luck, this evolution would be the focus of a Moon Knight season 2 which is still not confirmed for the future of the MCU.
