10 MCU Heroes We Can’t Wait To See Meet Deadpool (& Why)

10 MCU Heroes We Can’t Wait To See Meet Deadpool (& Why)

The Deadpool & Wolverine trailer showed that Deadpool will be joining the MCU, and that he will be shown some clips of the other Marvel heroes by the TVA. It’s hard not to match Deadpool’s apparent excitement at that moment, because his presence in the MCU will create a lot of fun possibilities for future movies. Though Deadpool’s role in the wider MCU hasn’t been revealed yet, it would feel like a wasted opportunity for Marvel not to pair him up with some of their other heroes.

Deadpool’s sense of humor and ability to break the fourth wall can make him an entertaining addition to any new Marvel project. Though he would likely need to be toned down to fit the PG-13 rating of most Marvel movies, Deadpool could still be a lot of fun when paired up with other heroes. Alternatively, Marvel could follow the precedent set by Deadpool & Wolverine and pair Deadpool up with other heroes for their own movie. No matter what way it ends up working, Deadpool meeting some more MCU characters will likely be a lot of fun.

A wild MCU theory suggests that Marvel Studios may be rebooting the franchise much sooner than anyone expected, potentially even in 2024’s Deadpool 3.

10 Captain America Is The Opposite Of Deadpool

Captain America Is Played By Anthony Mackie In The MCU

Sam Wilson, like pretty much all Marvel heroes, can get in some funny lines here and there. However, he is pretty serious for the most part, and will probably be more so now that he’s taking on the responsibility of being Captain America. Sam’s more earnest demeanor would make him a very good foil for Deadpool’s sillier and more impulsive ways.

Deadpool would likely annoy Captain America, and it isn’t hard to imagine the two of them getting into conflict with each other over their different methods. Alternatively, Deadpool could want to try and better himself, and look to Cap as an inspiration. This would likely still lead to humorous situations where Wade messes up trying to be good, similar to his X-Men tryout in Deadpool 2.

9 Spider-Man And Deadpool Have Strange But Fun Chemistry

Spider-Man Is Played By Tom Holland In The MCU

Deadpool and Spider-Man have a history of working together in Marvel Comics, and it is always a good time. Seeing Spider-Man, who is usually one of the more lighthearted heroes, have to fill the role of the comedic straight person is a nice change of pace for the character. The MCU version of Spider-Man would also be fun to see with Deadpool, thanks to Tom Holland’s specific talents.

Tom Holland does a great job reacting to things as Spider-Man, for example, when he sees Mysterio revealing his secret identity. Watching Spidey react to Deadpool’s more violent tendencies or some of the wackier things he says would be a lot of fun. It would also be a chance for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man to be the more mature hero for a change.

8 Captain Marvel Would Have No Patience For Deadpool

Captain Marvel Is Played By Brie Larson In The MCU

Captain Marvel is a pretty no-nonsense character. Seeing as Deadpool is pretty heavy on nonsense, him and Captain Marvel would likely not mix very well. This would likely lead to some entertaining conflicts, especially if things let to a fight.

As one of the most powerful MCU heroes, it would be cool to see what Carol could do against an opponent who can’t die. It’s not hard to imagine Captain Marvel blasting Deadpool out of existence, only for him to slowly come back. This would be a humorous and low-stakes way to show off what Captain Marvel is capable of.

7 Ms. Marvel Would Think Deadpool Is Fun, At First

Ms. Marvel Is Played By Iman Vellani In The MCU

Ms. Marvel is a fan of the Avengers, and obviously Captain Marvel. From the trailer, it looks like Deadpool might be in a little bit of awe of the MCU heroes that the TVA is showing him. This means Deadpool and Ms. Marvel could initially bond over Deadpool’s enthusiasm for other heroes. However, this good relationship won’t last too long.

Once Kamala gets to witness Deadpool’s violent tendencies, she will probably be a little less happy about her new friend. Ms. Marvel can be a fun character to see in over her head, but she is also always up for a challenge. Kamala would likely be a good character to help curb some of Wade’s worse traits.

6 Hulk And Deadpool Could Have A Memorable Fight

Hulk Is Played By Mark Ruffalo In The MCU

Fights between two heroes can make some of the most memorable action sequences in MCU movies. Deadpool entering the MCU means a whole host of new fights that could happen, but none would probably top Deadpool fighting the Hulk. Their individual powers and strengths would make it unlike any fight that has happened before.

Hulk uses a lot of blunt force and brutality, whereas Deadpool is more agile and relies on the skillfull use of weapons. Though Hulk would usually be able to kill an opponent as soon as he managed to get his hands on them, Deadpool can’t die. This means Hulk would have to outpace Wade’s healing factor in order to make any hits stick. This would make for a very interesting encounter, though the MCU would have to ditch Smart Hulk first.

5 Thor And Deadpool Are Funny In Different Ways

Thor Is Played By Chris Hemsworth In The MCU

Since starting as Thor, Chris Hemsworth has proven he has solid comedy chops. This has led to his character becoming a lot funnier since his introduction. Watching Hemsworth’s Thor playing off Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool could lead to some of the funniest MCU moments. This is especially true because both actors have strong improv skills.

Thor and Deadpool are both funny, but with distinctly different personalities. This means their interactions would be entertaining, but also unique. Neither character has encountered anyone like the other before, so them getting together would give the MCU some fresh new comedy material.

4 Star-Lord Could Be Deadpool’s Closest Friend

Star-Lord Is Played By Chris Pratt In The MCU

When Deadpool transitions to the MCU, it is expected that he likely won’t be bringing his supporting cast with him. This means he will be entering the MCU as a bit of a loner. Similarly, Star-Lord just parted ways with his found family to try and get to know his family on Earth. This is the perfect opportunity to put these two characters together as a new support system for one another.

Star-Lord also has a lot of experience befriending outcasts, which Deadpool will likely be in the MCU. Both Ryan Reynolds and Chris Pratt are skilled comedic actors as well, meaning they would probably have a lot of chemistry if their MCU characters met. This pairing actually makes a lot of sense for these versions of the characters, and it would likely be good for both Wade and Peter to have a close relationship with another MCU hero.

3 Kang Would Force Deadpool To Get Serious

It Is Currently Unknown If Marvel Will Recast Kang In The MCU Following Jonathan Majors’ Departure

Though Deadpool has faced villains before, he’s never had to deal with one like Kang who is a major existential threat. This makes sense, since the Deadpool movies’ lower stakes help sell the lighthearted and comedic tone. Deadpool will likely be thrust into more serious situations at some point to fit the tone of the MCU crossovers. Seeing Deadpool take on one of the MCU’s major villains would be a nice change of pace for the character.

Right now, it is unclear what Kang’s future in the MCU is. Jonathan Majors has been removed from the role, and Marvel has yet to make a decision on recasting. If the Kang problem persists, Marvel may just go with another villain. Deadpool’s transition to a more serious character would work well with other villains too, however, so it won’t change much for him.

2 Moon Knight And Deadpool Are Two Of Marvel’s Most Unique Characters

Moon Knight Is Played By Oscar Isaac In The MCU

Moon Knight is very atypical for an MCU hero thanks to his multiple distinct personalities. Deadpool is also a unique character thanks to his crude humor and ability to break the fourth wall. Whether it is just a brief meeting, or a longer story featuring both these heroes, pairing Deadpool up with Moon Knight would certainly lead to some exciting interactions.

Deadpool might also be a good character to help explain Moon Knight to audiences who didn’t watch Moon Knight. A quick fourth wall break would let Deadpool clear up the confusing details before getting right back to the action.

1 Deadpool And She-Hulk Can Both Break The Fourth Wall

She-Hulk Is Played By Tatiana Maslany In The MCU

Most Marvel heroes are starkly different from Deadpool, which is what would make their meeting interesting. In contrast, Deadpool meeting She-Hulk would stand out because they are both so similar. Both like to joke around and break the fourth wall, and She-Hulk has even gone so far as to meet with Marvel executives to change her show’s ending.

This would also be a great chance for two characters to have a meta conversation about the MCU, instead of just a single character doing it. For example, She-Hulk could talk to Deadpool about why he thinks his movies were more successful, despite them being very similar characters. Hopefully, Deadpool & Wolverine opens the door for this and other crossovers in the MCU.
