Sex and the City put HBO on the map as a premium network that offered quality original TV series. And since it hit the airwaves in 1998, the drama has become an iconic show of cultural significance.

Only true fans will remember Skipper from the series, the 27-year-old web designer that Miranda reluctantly dated in the first Sex season. A hopeless romantic, he was the polar opposite of Miranda, and much too immature for her.
Nonetheless, he was great as an on-again, off-again fling, even though it was clear that Skipper wanted much more. But oddly, even though he was even presented as being a very close friend of Carrie’s, he just disappeared with no explanation as to what happened. And he was never mentioned again.
Always A Cosmopolitan
Sex and the City breathed new life into a fruity cocktail that wasn’t nearly as popular until the show came on the air. After fans saw the four ladies ordering them whenever they went to a bar, or even to brunch, it became the drink of choice for girlfriends everywhere.
