10 Highest-Ranked Movies On IMDb That Weren’t Nominated For Best Picture

IMDb’s Top 250 and the Oscar nominees for Best Picture are both great ways to find some of the best movies of all time. Many high-ranked movies on IMDb were also Best Picture nominees, but plenty of non-nominees are ranked high as well. This shows that movie fans and the Academy don’t think exactly alike.

Some of these non-nominees are classic films that were surprisingly snubbed at the Oscars. Others are films that were loved by audiences but weren’t typical Oscar-fare. A few of the movies did get some Awards season attention, just not Best Picture.
