10 Heroes That Could Be Rebooted On Earth Prime Post Crisis

With the major crossover event over for the Arrowverse, we are now left with a very different multiverse. Earth Prime is housing many of the universe’s most famous heroes, but it has also seemingly reinvented a few of the characters.

A new Earth seems like a great opportunity to reintroduce some old heroes but with new twists. These are characters that were killed off, written out or just didn’t fit in with the shows anymore. Here are 10 characters we’d love to see get rebooted.

GUARDIAN

10 Heroes That Could Be Rebooted On Earth Prime Post Crisis

The version of Guardian that we saw in the Arrowverse wasn’t exactly what had been portrayed in the comics. CatCo’s own Jimmy Olsen had suited up as the vigilante a number of times, to help his pal Supergirl fight crime.

However, he has since decided to hang up the helmet and continue his passion for journalism and photography. It would be interesting to see a new Guardian take on the mantle, a mysterious hero who could reveal themselves perhaps to be James Harper, the comics iteration of the character.

GYPSY

Gypsy is one of the supporting characters that we wish had gotten more screen time. She came from a different Earth but was sadly killed off, although not on screen, much to the annoyance of many fans. This is an opportunity to bring her back into the fold.

With a brand new Earth, perhaps this version of reality has an original Gypsy that Cisco just hasn’t met yet. This could reignite an old spark and perhaps bring this hero into Team Flash once and for all, where she’d be an incredibly valued member.

RAGMAN

Ragman talking to woman in Arrow

We all know the reason Ragman really had to leave team Arrow. He was too overpowered and the writers didn’t know how to handle the character. Every situation could be solved a lot easier with this super-powered individual on the team.

However, a new Earth allows for new opportunities. Rory Regan was born to be a hero and we know that he continued his heroic career in many different versions of reality. It makes sense therefore for us to revisit him still fighting crime, perhaps even with an upgraded costume.

VIGILANTE

Vigilante has an incredibly interesting character. He started off seemingly as a villain before being revealed to be more of an anti-hero. He died infiltrating a criminal organization, at the hands, or rather voice, of the Black Siren.

A new reality could mean a fresh start for the Vigilante though. Vincent appeared to be changing his ways and could have even turned away from the brutal and deadly approach he’d been taking. Perhaps we can now revisit this character and reunite him with Black Canary.

HUMAN TARGET

We know that there’s a version of the Human Target still out there, although we have no idea what he looks like. Earth 1 did have their own version of the master of disguise, but that isn’t to say that other Earth’s didn’t have an iteration as well.

We think it would be really fun to see a reinvented version of the Human Target reveal themselves, perhaps with a gender change that would really confuse viewers to start with. This is a hero that could be used throughout the Arrowverse for some time.

FIRESTORM

We’ve seen a couple of different alternate takes on Firestorm, but no one can get over the original Ronnie Raymond version. With a clashing of Earth’s and a new reality, anything is possible. The return of Ronnie could play into this new Earth Prime.

It would be really exciting to see Ronnie return to the show for a little bit, although as a far less villainous version compared to last time. It would also be interesting to finally see the Arrowverse crossover between Jax and Ronnie.

VIXEN

Arrow - Vixen helps team Arrow

The time stream has been a complicated one for Vixen. With multiple versions of the character spanning across the years, it’s unclear which version could actually return. What could be the most interesting is if a brand new warrior takes on the totem.

Because we’ve already been introduced to a few versions, a completely new person, who is struggling to come to terms with this unique power, might be a more interesting character arc for the shows. It makes sense for the Waverider team to take on the mentor role.

THE RAY

We know that the Earth taken over by the Nazis might not be included within Earth Prime, but that’s not to say that there can’t be a version of the Ray added to this continuity that hasn’t had to grow up fighting a variation of the Hitler regime.

A version of the Ray not forged in war would be a significant departure from the version we’d previously seen. With this character perhaps learning about his life on another Earth, it could create an origin story inspired by the sacrifices of others in the multiverse.

JESSE QUICK

Jesse Quick

Jesse Quick comes from Earth 2 and has made various appearances on Earth 1 alongside her father, Harrison Wells. However, since her breakup with Wally West we haven’t seen all too much of one of the best speedsters in the Arrowverse.

With such a shift in the multiverse, it would be fascinating to see the character return in some form. Earth 2’s destruction played a big part in the Crisis event, but there’s no telling how this character could be reintroduced; only that she’d make a huge impact if she gets rebooted.

JONAH HEX

Jonah Hex actually made an appearance in the crossover. The alternate version of the character shows that the CW still wants Hex featured in some way. Bringing Jonah into the modern era of Earth Prime would be the next logical step.

While he doesn’t need a reboot in terms of his characterization, we think it’s time that his journey was completely changed and that he has to deal with a fundamental shift in his own reality. How would he cope with a modern landscape and would he still be a gun-slinging sheriff?
