10 Coolest Dresses In Princess Peach: Showtime!, Ranked By Design

10 Coolest Dresses In Princess Peach: Showtime!, Ranked By Design

In Princess Peach: Showtime! the costumes that Peach wears have gotten a lot of the spotlight as they provide Peach with unique abilities and personas, but the multitude of dresses that Peach can unlock in the game are no less spectacular. Over the course of her adventures in the Sparkle Theater, Peach can unlock almost 40 gowns that she can wear while walking around the theater and at the beginning of many levels. These beautiful dresses will even appear in her cutscenes, can add a bit of unique flavor, and are often tied to achievements.

In Princess Peach’s new solo adventure, this poor girl is changing her clothes a lot, both in costume changes and to try on some stunning gowns that are unlocked through challenges. Although many of the dresses still follow the same traditional pink look as her regular outfit, even they are altered with unique designs to make them special. After defeating bosses or successfully meeting certain challenges, however, even more unique and truly cool dresses are unlocked for purchase from the Sparkle Theater’s lobby shop for varying amounts of coin.

Princess Peach Looks Like Royalty In Her Grape Dress

Unlocked After Completing The Main Story

Named after the primary antagonist of Princess Peach: Showtime!, Madame Grape, this dress is only available for Princess Peach after she completes the main storyline. The Grape Dress is then available to be purchased at the Lobby Shop for 500 Coins, which is still a bit of a ripoff considering all that Peach did for the Theets.

This dress features vertical stripes of purple, the color of royalty, mimicking the purple and blue stripes of Madame Grape’s dress. The golden ribbon highlights flowing in the gown also correlate to the wielder of Darkle magic, as gold also accented portions of her dress while her spooky mask was entirely covered in the golden color. If one looks closely, Princess Peach’s hair bow has also changed to a purple and blue striped design when in this gown.

Peach’s Sparkle Dress Is A Not A Drastic Change But Beautiful In Design

Unlocked After Finding 100 Sparkle Gems

Although still a pink color, Princess Peach’s Sparkle Dress is a bit more of a rosy red coloration than her typical pink styles. Though the hue is only a slight difference, the dress itself is just dark enough to show off the bright white of the Sparkle Gem patterns on the bottom of the gown, along with the diamond pink shades that encompass the major skirt.

Throughout the various levels of Princess Peach: Showtime! people can find hidden Sparkle Gems in each level, and although some are required to progress the game, the 100 that unlock this gown is above and beyond that number. Finding 100 Sparkle Gems in the game is a fun challenge in and of itself. Getting a dress, particularly one this pretty, for meeting the achievement is a pleasant bonus.

Peach’s Special Detective Dress Would Be Perfect For The Magic Schoolbus

Unlocked After Completing The Detective Sparkla’s Story

It doesn’t take a detective to see what plays this Special Detective Dress for Princess Peach comes from, with the brown colors mixed with a design of magnifying glasses and keys, the dress is a fun pattern that looks like something that Ms. Frizzle from The Magic School Bus series would have worn. It may not be as glamorous as many of the Princess’s other dresses, but it is a whimsical and cool look that expertly shows off her skills.

Peach’s Special Detective Dress is unlocked by completing all the levels for the Detective Sparkla, then it will be listed for sale at the Lobby Shop for 300 Coins. Although it would be nice if she had been able to keep the Sherlock hat that she wears in her Detective costume, having her bow take on the complementary tweed pattern is a fun touch as well.

7
Princess Peach’s Special Kung Fu Dress Features Dramatic Visuals

Unlocked After Completing The Kung Fu Sparkla’s Story

It seems as though doing martial arts in a long, flowing gown, such as Princess Peach wears for her everyday attire, may not be practical. Once she has shown off enough of her skills as a Kung Fu master, however, it is easy to believe she could still be a formidable opponent in this dress. This dress is available from the Lobby Shop for 300 Coins after Peach completes all the levels associated with the Kung Fu Sparkla.

The orange and red in this dress are already unique, but combining them with the silhouette of a Chinese dragon amid swirling clouds is an eye-catching statement. The dramatic design feels fluid and as though it is telling its own story while showcasing to the world that Peach used her Kung Fu skills to save the Sparkla.

Dazzling Yellow And Purple Designs Make Up Peach’s Purrjector Dress

Unlocked After Defeating Purrjector Cat

The vivid yellow of this dress matches well with Peach’s hair and is highlighted beautifully with the dark purple of the accents. Like its namesake, the Purrjector Dress is unlocked only after the Princess has successfully taken down the Purrjector Cat boss during the main story of Princess Peach: Showtime! After that battle, she can show off her strength against the beast by purchasing this dress at the Lobby Shop for 500 Coins.

The color and pattern of this dress are very unlike Peach’s usual style, and yet it suits her very well. This dress, along with many others on this list, proves that Princess Peach can easily expand her wardrobe beyond the traditional pink look and still be immediately recognizable — although the color does seem a bit too much like she may be competing with Princess Daisy.

5
The Special Mighty Dress Is Completely Unlike The Costume, But Still Beautiful

Unlocked After Completing Mighty Sparkla’s Story

Another gown that Ms. Frizzle from the Magic School Bus would approve of. This space-themed dress is the result of Princess Peach completing all levels and required achievements associated with the Mighty Sparkla. After those challenges are done, the Special Mighty Dress is available at the Lobby Shop for 300 Coins.

The purples of this intergalactic gown are beautiful and look elegant while still whimsical, yet it is a surprising color choice. In the levels that this dress is associated with, the Mighty Costume that Peach dons is entirely red and black, with no trace of purple anywhere. The alien presence and space travel make the planets and stars of the dress understandable, but purple is still a surprising yet inspired choice. Now, if only she could have kept the matching visor and headgear from the Costume as well.

Princess Peach’s Spotlion Dress Is Simple Blue Elegance

Unlocked After Defeating Spotlion

One common feature in the dresses that Peach unlocks as a reward for victory over major boss battles in Princess Peach: Showtime! is that unlike the overwhelming patterns on some of the other dresses, these often have a more understated elegance. After Princess Peach defeats Spotlion in battle, the Spotlion Dress is unlocked at the Lobby Shop. As is the case with other dresses related to boss fights, it costs 500 Coins to purchase.

While one can certainly see the themes of the Spotlion boss with his blues and whites combined with the spotlight mouth, it is a subtle look that perfectly matches her blue brooch perfectly. This gown is one that could be worn by the Princess in any situation, without the thought of a robotic lion spotlight trying to reign down terror on a theater.

3
Green Is A Good Look For Peach, Especially With This Fang Dress

Unlocked After Defeating Light Fang

Another unique look for Peach is the Fang Dress, with an almost 1960s-era pattern in varying hues of green. Again, she accents the dress with a royal purple that helps to add more of the elegance to the dress that befits a Princess. In fact, the pattern on the skirt of her gown looks like the body of the robotic snake Light Fang.

The Fang Dress is unlocked in Princess Peach: Showtime! after Peach wins a battle of wits against Light Fang. It is sold for 500 Coins at the Lobby Shop, again making one think that the Theet running the store may have some ties to Madame Grape. That is the only explanation for why he would charge the heroine so much for the dress, and also how he knew what Light Fang looked like in order to have a dress prepared.

2
Always Ready For A Party, This Disco Dress Is Divine

Unlocked After Defeating Disco Wing

The first boss fight that Peach comes to in Princess Peach: Showtime! also unlocks one of the best dresses for her, the Disco Dress. This dress is available for a cost of 500 Coins from the Lobby Shop after it is unlocked by defeating Disco Wing. The colors of purple and pink match Disco Wing’s coloration, but also looks much closer to a typical color palette for the Princess.

Although the dress is simply many colored rectangles in a pattern, it looks like a purple disco ball, and under the right spotlights, it seems to reflect light just like a disco ball. The dress has a cheerful appearance, while not being quite as over-the-top as it could have been.

1
Peach Radiates Beauty In Her Glowing Radiant Dress

Unlocked After Completing The Main Story

Of the plethora of gowns that Princess Peach has to choose from, none is quite as cool or truly spectacular as the Radiant Dress. Not only does this look like a leveled-up version of Peach’s regular pink dress, but it has the power of Sparkle Gems within its very fabric. This is best seen when Peach is in a dark room, and the dress itself lights up in a glow-in-the-dark fashion wherever the Sparkle Gem design is.

The Radiant Dress can purchased from the Lobby Shop for the same 500 Coins as a boss battle-related dress after it has been unlocked. Sadly, it is only available after players have completed the main storyline of Princess Peach: Showtime!, but is still fun to wear while completing end game challenges and achievements.
