10 Characters Cards We Need To See In Disney Lorcana Set 2

10 Characters Cards We Need To See In Disney Lorcana Set 2

The size and scope of the world of Disney provides a plethora of characters to choose from for the tabletop card game Disney Lorcana, and there are many good classics already covered in The First Chapter and the revealed characters for Rise of the Floodborn. Some iconic characters still need to have a chance to show their skills, however, and given the time of year that this second set arrives, it would be fun to see some seasonal options represented. Tapping into a few of the stories fitting for the holiday season when Rise of the Floodborn releases would provide more opportunities for marketing as well; although, given the evergreen nature of the game, it is probable that Ravensburger and Disney will stick with non-seasonal variants.

Disney Lorcana‘s second set reveals some characters that have already gained a lot of excitement among the online community, particularly the new Hunny Wizard version of Winnie the Pooh. Disney offers such a large variety of possibilities with everything from the characters of The Black Cauldron to the Muppets who could join the ranks of glimmers. Although there are many more than just 10 that could be easily put on a list covering characters that would be perfect to have included in the game, for now here are some of the ones that would be perfect for Rise of the Floodborn.

10 Professor Ratigan

Professor Ratigan from The Great Mouse Detective is already a likely candidate for Disney Lorcana‘s Rise of the Floodborn with the reveal of the Item card Dinner Bell from the same movie. While Professor-turned-King Ratigan’s hand is shown in that item card, hopefully he will also receive his own spotlight. It is likely that if one card from the animated feature is included, there could easily be more. Professor Ratigan’s scheming prowess would make him an incredible villain to be brought to the TCG.

9 Eeyore

Disney Lorcana already has Tigger and will soon include Winnie the Pooh among its ranks, but their depressed friend Eeyore presents a lot of fun opportunities. Particularly by utilizing the Dreamborn features of completely reimagining a character, it would be fun to see Eeyore given strong and impressive powers, perhaps even being stronger than the new Hunny Wizard Pooh. It is fun to think of what a Dreamborn version of the sad donkey would be at least, and as a beloved character, he deserves his chance to shine.

8 Scrooge McDuck As Ebeneezer Scrooge

Any version of Scrooge McDuck would be exciting to see in Disney Lorcana, but his role as Ebeneezer Scrooge in Mickey’s Christmas Carol seems an appropriate fit for Rise of the Floodborn. Not only could he offer a lot of fun possibilities for attacks or abilities with his grumpy attitude, but the holiday theme fits the time of year for this launch. Rise of the Floodborn will be released in select stores in November and then everywhere else on December 1, so this classic character would make a great introduction to the holiday season for Lorcana players.

7 Jack Skellington

Speaking of seasonally appropriate Disney characters, Jack Skellington is almost a necessary inclusion in Rise of the Floodborn. For many, The Nightmare Before Christmas is a yearly tradition between Halloween and Christmas, and this Pumpkin King is particularly suited for Disney Lorcana. He could have a bonus for the Song cards that are used in the game, and his tragic hero story offers plenty of possible abilities that his card could include.

6 Oogie Boogie

Villain cards are among some of the most powerful in the TCG of Disney Lorcana, and the Oogie Boogie bogeyman from The Nightmare Before Christmas would be a chaotic and entertaining addition to the catalog. The bugs that make up this creature could offer strong attacks, and he has shown in other games such as Kingdom Hearts and Disney Mirrorverse that he can be a powerful opponent.

5 Lady

Lady and the Tramp is a classic Disney animated film that deserves more attention given to it. The sweet cocker spaniel, Lady, is as strong a role model and as beautiful a character as any Disney Princess. In Disney Lorcana, Lady could offer her other glimmer companions buffs from her nature of strong loyalty and support.

4 Tramp

The beloved mongrel, Tramp, is the other titular character from Lady and the Tramp who would present many fun opportunities as a Disney Lorcana card. In the TCG, Tramp could be using his Storyborn nature to capitalize on his explorative tendencies from the movie, or the cards could let him explore his Dreamborn possibilities as the true superhero he could be.

3 The Great Gonzo As Charles Dickens

Seasonally appropriate additions to Rise of the Floodborn‘s holiday release would be negligent if they did not include The Great Gonzo in his role as Charles Dickens in The Muppet Christmas Carol. His powers of being all-seeing could allow strategic abilities to look ahead at upcoming cards in the deck or allow him to command control of the opponent’s abilities.

2 Darkwing Duck

Though there are lots of princesses and villains in Disney Lorcana, there is always room for the terror that flaps in the night, Darkwing Duck. The super secret crime fighter would be perfect as a combat-focused glimmer in the TCG, providing plenty of humor and strength. His sidekick, Launchpad McQuack could also add a fun personality to the game, and work in tandem to buff Darkwing Duck in his abilities.

1 Kermit

Perhaps the most noticeable of the iconic characters that are entirely missing from Disney Lorcana are the Muppets. Though originally a separate franchise, Disney has owned the Muppets since 2004, and they are some of the most recognizable and loved characters that Disney has at its disposal. Kermit – and any of the other Muppets – needs to find his way into Disney Lorcana at some point, and the sooner, the better. Whether he is simply classic Kermit The Frog or taking on one of his many film and television roles, his presence is an essential one.
