MTV has been coming up with original and unique ideas for reality television shows ever since they essentially invented the genre with The Real World. And, while Are You The One? is one of their fluffier offerings, the concept, where a bunch of people are thrown into a house and tasked with finding their “perfect match,” is a fun one.
The show revolves around romance, so it should come as no surprise that many contestants wind up finding love in the series. But, who are the cutest couples in the show’s history?
Tori & Morgan
While Tori Deal and Morgan St. Pierre’s relationship didn’t last for very long outside of the show, and Tori has gone on to have a few more high-profile relationships with other MTV stars since, it’s not hard to understand why these two were a perfect match.
After a messy breakup with Asaf, Morgan seemed to be exactly what Tori needed, and they were one of the most memorable couples on the show simply because they had so much fun together.
Dillan & Coleysia
It’s interesting, because in the first season of Are You The One?, Dillan and Coleysia wound up becoming matches by default. After Dillan somewhat brutally confessed that Coleysia wasn’t his first choice, they actually got to know each other and really hit it off.
Throughout a few more weeks of doing recon on each other, they became one of the strongest and most stable couples in the house, and the first Truth Booth confirmed match in AYTO history.
Sam & Alyssa
Many of the couples throughout AYTO‘s run have been memorable for bringing the drama, but what made Sam and Alyssa stand out from the crowd was that they were into each other from the very start.
Although their relationship didn’t last long outside of the AYTO house, they were entertaining to watch on season 4 for all the right reasons, and they were a really necessary reprieve from all of the nonstop drama with other couples.
Hayden & Gianna
Like many a no-match couple before and after them, despite the fact that the matchmakers didn’t decide that they were best suited to each other, Gianna and Hayden just couldn’t give up on their relationship in the house.
But unlike many other no-match couples, they continued to have a serious relationship long after the show ended, even welcoming a baby boy named August in 2018. They ultimately broke up, but they’re one of the most serious relationships to stem from the show.
Cali & Tomas
Apparently a lot of the contestants aren’t lying when they say they come on AYTO looking for love, because they do seem to find it even if it’s with their no-match.
Cali at first had a somewhat tempestuous relationship with another one of her no-matches, Brett, before moving on to another no-match, Tomas. But this time, the no-match didn’t stop either of them from pursuing a relationship with each other, and that relationship continued long after their season wrapped.
Chris T. & Shanley
When the first season of Are You The One? premiered, no one really knew what to expect, but MTV and the viewers were obviously hoping for some interesting relationship drama.
And while a few different couples did provide that excitement, none of them packed as big of a punch as the no-match couple of Chris T. and Shanley. Although their relationship didn’t last, they were honestly a huge reason why the first season was even worth watching.
Hannah & Zak
Hannah’s first connection on her season of Are You The One? was with Chuck, but after Chuck did her dirty, she was more than happy to move on to Zak.
Despite the fact that they discovered they weren’t a match towards the end of the season, they did continue their relationship outside of the house, and while they ultimately did break up, they were adorable on Instagram for quite a while after their season ended.
Cameron & Mikala
Most of the drama on AYTO thrives from pairings who make strong connections with each other but wind up not actually being a perfect match, but on rare occasions, perfect matches hit it off from the very start and just keep getting stronger.
Cam and Mikala were one such couple, they paired off pretty quickly and helped their season score a perfect match Truth Booth in the third episode. Plus, their relationship went on for quite a while outside of the house too.
Clinton & Uche
The fact that so many contestants on Are You The One? manage to figure out who their perfect match is indicates that the show creators are on to something, but sometimes they just get it dead wrong.
And their biggest miss in the show’s history is with Clinton and Uche, a no-match couple who has stayed together, in love, and strong ever since their season first aired. And if that’s not great enough, the two got engaged in June of 2020!
Amber & Ethan
When it comes to Are You The One? success stories, it’s going to be hard to beat Ethan and Amber from season 1. Not only are they a perfect match couple that actually fell in love, but they are also now married and have two children, daughters named Scarlett and Serena.
Obviously, a reality show can only do so much to help people find true love, but Ethan and Amber are the ideal example of how much a perfect match can become.
