10 Bachelor Contestants Who Didn’t Survive The First Ceremony (Who We Want To See Again)

10 Bachelor Contestants Who Didn’t Survive The First Ceremony (Who We Want To See Again)

The Bachelor is one of the most dramatic yet entertaining reality series on television. Though the face of each new season is often the bachelor himself, fans of the series know that it is the women that determine whether or not a season will be successful. At the beginning of every season, ABC selects about 30 women, all from different backgrounds, to compete. Since ABC selects such a large pool of women for the bachelor to choose from, many of them often do not make it past the first rose ceremony.

Unfortunately, many of these unlucky ladies are extremely interesting and leave fans wishing they got more screen time. For a list of the most intriguing women to get sent home far too early, keep reading.

Season 25: Alicia Holloway

10 Bachelor Contestants Who Didn’t Survive The First Ceremony (Who We Want To See Again)

Alicia Holloway was looking for love with ABC’s first Black bachelor Matt James. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Holloway was among 40 finalists who were set to compete for James’s heart. Though she didn’t end up making a strong enough impression on the bachelor, she piqued the interest of the viewers at home.

Holloway is a professional ballerina, which is unusual for a Bachelor contestant considering most competitors are usually flight attendants, nurses, or salespeople. Fans of The Bachelor would have loved to learn more about Holloways’s profession and personality in general.

Season 25: Amber Andrews

Amber Andrews on The Bachelor

Amber Andrews competed for Matt James’ heart on the 25th season of The Bachelor. During the time of filming, Andrews was 30 years old and living in Los Angeles, California, though she is originally from Rialto. Andrews is a nursing student and a mom, which is great considering there usually aren’t too many contestants on the show with children.

From the looks of Andrews’ Instagram account, she looks like she has a great personality. Andrews also appears to be very fun-loving and adventurous, which everyone knows James would have loved.

Season 24: Avonlea Elkins

Avonela on The Bachelor

Avonlea Elkins undoubtedly has one of the most interesting professions out of all of the women who have ever applied for The Bachelor. Elkins is a cattle rancher from Fort Worth Texas. She began working on a ranch at a young age with her brother and parents and quickly discovered she was particularly skilled at working the tractor.

Elkins also works as a model and has walked the runway for many fashion designers in Dallas Texas. Elkins is even signed by the Campbell Agency.

Season 24: Katrina Badowski

Katrina Badowski from The Bachelor

Katrina Badowski competed on Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor. The Chicago native made an interesting first impression on Weber when she showed him a picture of her Sphynx cat Jasmine on night one. Though Badowski’s entrance was memorable it wasn’t enough to make it past the first rose ceremony.

Badowski was a professional dancer for the Chicago Bulls and already had connections to Bachelor Nation before joining Weber’s season. It would have been interesting to see how Badowski operated on the show considering she already had some experience with The Bachelor world.

Season 23: Alex Dillon

Alex Dillon on The Bachelor

When Alex Dillon stepped out of the limo in a sloth costume on night one of Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor, she joined a long line of women who wear animal suits for the season premiere. Though Dillon’s bio lists her occupation as “sloth”, she is an amazing painter.

Her Instagram feed is filled with shots of her amazing paintings. Her account also reveals that she loves sports, traveling, and Disney World. Dillon seems like she would have brought very positive energy to Underwood’s dramatic season.

Season 23: Revian Chang

Revien Chang on The Bachelor

Revian Chang competed on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor. Chang is a nurse from Santa Monica who is a big believer in love. In her introduction video, Chang revealed that her parents met and got married within the same week.

It would have been very interesting to see such a hopeless romantic on The Bachelor, especially since lately a lot of the contestants on the show appear like they are looking for fame instead of love. It also would have been great to see Chang on the show since there is not a lot of Asian representation on The Bachelor.

Season 22: Olivia Goethals

Olivia Goethals in The Bachelor

Olivia Goethals competed on the 22nd season of The Bachelor. Goethals was among the eight women who didn’t make it past the first night. Unlike many of those other contestants, Goethals did get some screen time with Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr.

The Chicago marketing associate gave Luyendyk Jr. a tiny toy racing car but unfortunately, the gift wasn’t enough to earn a rose that night. Goethals listed Mean Girls and Love and Basketball as two of her favorite movies so she could have either added a lot of romance or drama to the series—maybe even both.

Season 22: Jessica Carroll

Jessica Carroll on The Bachelor

One of the most promising contestants on Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s season was Jessica Carroll. Carroll was an early favorite to gain Luyendyk’s affection. The television host revealed that her father had met Luyendyk a few times because he was a vintage car collector. Carroll thought this was a sign the pair were meant to be and many viewers did as well.

Since leaving The Bachelor, Jessica has grown a large following on social media. Judging by her Instagram, which is full of photos of her amazing style and joyful personality, she would have been great on the show.

Season 21: Lauren Hussey

Lauren Hussey on The Bachelor

Lauren Hussey appears to be one of the most selfless women from bachelor Nick Viall’s season. The Florida native works with the Naples’ Shelter for Abused Women and Children. Hussey is also a law school graduate, which certainly would have helped her get through Viall’s season.

It would have been a nice change of pace to see a contestant who enjoys spending their time volunteering and giving back to her community. It also would have been refreshing to hear more about her work during a one-on-one date with Viall.

Season 21: Briana Guertler

Briana Guertler on The Bachelor

Briana Guertler was among the women who did not make it past the first rose ceremony on Nick Viall’s season. According to The Salt Lake City surgical nurse’s official bio on ABC, Guertler is just a fun, regular girl.

She loves watching Friends and eating Big Mac meals from McDonald’s. She also told ABC that she can’t live without chapstick and coffee, which again, just makes her sound like one of the more relatable women in Bachelor Nation. Guertler could have brought a touch of reality to the series.
